Université Catholique de Bukavu has a specialised infectious disease program and an established program of international collaborations and research partnerships. It also has laboratory facilities that is engaged in the capacity building for local embedded mpox research. Its bacteriology laboratory is involved in the assessment of potential antimicrobial resistance prevalence. The University has a medical ethical committee and has reviewed previous studies from our group.
